BizzEnergy is short-listed for prestigious award

BizzEnergy, the internet-based supplier of electricity to businesses, has been short-listed for the E-Trading award at the Interforum and UK Online for Business E-Commerce awards 2002, sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland and Cisco Systems.

Now in their fourth year, the E-Commerce awards have been designed to recognise and reward organisations with fewer than 250 employees that are successfully using e-commerce, new technologies or the Internet to improve their business. Over 1,600 businesses across the country from a range of sectors entered the awards, with 112 of those being from the West Midlands.

The West Midlands regional final is sponsored by IBM and the regional e-trading category winner will progress to the national final and the chance of winning £38,000 for their business.

BizzEnergy faces strong competition in the West Midlands e-trading final, competing against Flowergram Ltd. of Stourbridge, MG Sport & Racing, Longbridge, PS Office supplies of Birmingham and last year's regional winner, Rosemary's Health Foods, Wolverhampton.

BizzEnergy Chief Executive Eddie Hyams said, "We are delighted to have been selected as a regional finalist in the e-commerce awards, despite facing some very strong competition in the West Midlands. Our strength in e-trading is certainly helping the business go from strength-to-strength."
