Top businesses choose BizzEnergy and go greener

BizzEnergy, the award-winning supplier of electricity to businesses, has now entered its third year of trading and continues to go from strength-to-strength in its highly-competitive market.

With a long list of top companies deciding to switch to BizzEnergy for their supply, the profitability and the market share of the company are both increasing steadily. Many customers are making use of BizzEnergy's real-time online quoting system on the website at www.bizzenergy.com. New customers include MFI, the UK's leading furniture retailer and manufacturer, who have agreed a contract with BizzEnergy to supply 35 Half Hourly sites from October. MFI will be buying the GreenerBiz product from BizzEnergy to ensure that it meets the strict guidelines that it sets itself for environmental performance. MFI was awarded Energy Efficiency Accreditation by the Institute of Energy in 1996 for 4 years of continuous improvements in energy efficiency. They were then re-accredited in 1999 for a further 3 years of improvements and are hoping to be accredited again at the end of this year.

This highlights a growing trend in UK industry towards greener sources of electricity. Ofgem estimates that 60,000 supply contracts for greener energy are now in place across the UK*. The GreenerBizz electricity sold by BizzEnergy comes from renewable sources such as bio-fuels and hydro-power. A further strong endorsement of GreenerBizz is the recent decision taken by the Environment Agency to switch its 70 offices to BizzEnergy's product.

As well as gaining new customers each week, most existing customers are still very happy with BizzEnergy. Jewsons, the UK's largest timber and builders' merchants, has recently renewed its contract with BizzEnergy for the supply of 36 outlets and added another 7 to the list. Birmingham University has also signed up to another three years with BizzEnergy after its first successful year of supply.

BizzEnergy Chief Executive Eddie Hyams said, "More UK companies are becoming conscious of their impact on the environment and therefore choosing greener sources of energy. We are very pleased with the progress BizzEnergy is making in this area and our impact on the electricity market as a whole."
