Worcester-based electricity supplier BizzEnergy beat off stiff competition, includingTelewest Broadband and Trade Appliances of Nottingham, to win the E-Business Strategy of the Year Award for the Midlands & East of England region in the National Business Awards.
Acknowledged by The Chancellor of the Exchequer as the "Business Oscars", the Awards recognise and reward best practice, innovation and success. They are open to companies regardless of both size and sector. To win the award BizzEnergy successfully demonstrated that its e-business strategy has given it significant advantage in its marketplace by creating a viable and commercially successful proposition.
BizzEnergy will now be automatically short-listed for the prestigious National Business Awards. These will be judged in September in London and the National Business Awards ceremony will be held on the 11th November at Le Meridian Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
The award was collected on behalf of BizzEnergy by Ann Winter, PA to the Directors, at a gala ceremony held at Alton Towers. Sussanne Chambers, director of marketing said, "Winning the e-business strategy award is a fantastic achievement, particularly for our technical development team. At BizzEnergy we have developed software that is genuinely the first in the world and it is great to receive the recognition this team deserve."
BizzEnergy was also runner-up in the Growth Strategy of the Year Award that recognises excellent levels of organic growth that have achieved high levels of sales, profit and market share improvement
