BizzEnergy ends 2003 on a high note

BizzEnergy, the leading independent supplier of electricity to businesses, ended 2003 on a high note and is looking forward to another great year in 2004. Turnover grew from £70 million at the start of 2003 to £90 million by the end of the year.

During 2003 BizzEnergy doubled the number of business customers it supplies. This growth created a further 29 jobs, an increase in manpower of 50%, taking the total employed to 88. BizzEnergy's increasing size meant it had to expand its office space, taking on an extra 2,500 square feet in an adjacent building in its Warndon business park base.

BizzEnergy also had another year of success in industry awards in 2003. The company won the Midlands and East of England Region E Business Strategy of the Year Award in the National Business Awards. BizzEnergy was also named Business of the Year in the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Festival Awards.

BizzEnergy continued its commitment to choice and environmentally sound energy with the launch of ‘Cleaner Choice', energy generated from highly efficient combined heat and power sources. This energy results in 40% fewer emissions than traditional forms of energy generation. Further product launches are in the pipeline for BizzEnergy in 2004

BizzEnergy Chief Executive Steve Fletcher said, “ We are delighted with the performance of BizzEnergy over the past 12 months. The business is ahead of plan to reach £100 million annual turnover this year and we are pleased that we have continued to attract many more business customers to our offerings.”
