Climate Change Levy (CCL)

CCL is the short term for Climate Change Levy. CCL is a government enforced tax and has been in effect since April 2001. All energy suppliers are required to collect CCL from their customers. From April 2008 CCL will be charged at a rate of 0.456p/kWh. BizzEnergy calculates CCL automatically, and you will see the CCL as a separate item, detailed on your energy bills.

Some companies are exempt from paying CCL. If this is the case you must download two certificates from this area of our web site and return them to BizzEnergy to qualify for your exemption.
