How long will it take for me to get Smart Metering in my business?
Once we have received written confirmation of your request, installation will usually take place within 28 working days. For multiple sites, an installation schedule will be agreed.
How much will it cost?

What payment options are there?
BizzEnergy offer various Smart Metering options: Outright Purchase; 5 & 10 Year Lease Purchase and a Rental Option that is transferable between suppliers. Call us for a tailored quote on 0800 953 7283.
Why is Smart Metering relevant to me?
With ever increasing energy costs and a market where estimated readings are the norm, Smart Metering gives you much greater control over your utility management. It also provides accurate data to enable energy efficiency initiatives.
What happens to my existing meter?
It will be removed and replaced with your new Smart Meter.
What if it has a fault?
If the meter is faulty it will be replaced.
How does my Smart Meter get read?
Your meter is remotely read automatically via SMS/GPRS (mobile phone) technology. The end of month register reads are sent to BizzEnergy for billing purposes.
Will I always get bills based on actual data?
Yes, as reading the meter is completely automatic, your actual readings are always available when your bills are prepared. (The only time that estimated reads would be used would be in the unlikely situation of a meter fault or a breakdown in the industry’s data systems. On rare occasions there may be a communications failure).
Will I be able to monitor my usage?
Yes, the data available on the web site will enable you to check your consumption at any time of the day or night and highlight any unusual peaks or troughs of energy usage. You can also monitor and compare any periods of consumption that you choose. Data is available once a month, or even on a day +1 basis depending on the option you subscribe to.
How does it all work?
The meter stores multiple register reads plus Half Hourly meter interval data. The meter sends all these readings via SMS/GPRS to a confidential data hub where they are validated and stored. The end of month register reads are sent to BizzEnergy for billing purposes. Data is available once a month, or even on a day +1 basis depending on the option you subscribe to.
