What is a Smart Meter?
If your business electricity is currently supplied via a Non Half Hourly meter, one which is read quarterly or monthly, Smart Metering from BizzEnergy incorporates our usual competitive rates for your energy plus the installation of a Smart Meter.
What does a Smart Meter do?
The Smart Meter records your site’s electricity consumption every half hour and sends the data to us via secure SMS (mobile phone) technology at least once a month. This means your invoices are calculated from actual meter reads rather than estimated ones. You have access to your consumption data via a secure web site. The web site contains useful analysis tools which enable comparison reports, exceptions, carbon emission calculations and bill validation.

Installation
Installation of the Smart Meter is managed by our specialist team to ensure a smooth exchange of your meters and to arrange the installation date with you. We keep you informed of progress throughout the process so that you know that everything is going to plan. There is a short period of downtime necessary for the actual work to take place, normally around 45 minutes, after which your new meter immediately provides true and actual data.
