Regenerating a Beautiful Natural Habitat

Trees for Life is BizzEnergy’s first carbon offset scheme, operated in partnership with the Trees for Life charity (the only UK charity dedicated to the restoration of the Caledonian Forest). To celebrate our exceptional fuel mix, we make a donation for a tree to be planted on behalf of every member of BizzEnergy staff. In addition, for every BizzEnergy customer who switches to Green Choice, we fund the planting of another tree.

Our contribution is helping Trees for Life regenerate a wild forest in the Scottish Highlands. This involves a combination of native trees such as birch, rowan and aspen.

Mandeigh Wells, Trees for Life Development Manager explains: “The Caledonian Forest restoration is a very special and unique project. Much of the devastation affecting the forests in other parts of the world today has already happened to Caledonian Forest…we are actively preventing the extinction of this magnificent forest with every tree we plant. But it's not just about the trees…BizzEnergy are helping with the restoration of the whole eco-system.”

Buy a Tree

You may decide you’d like to buy a tree (or trees) through Trees for Life. You can do this by making a voluntary donation to Trees for Life, who will then plant the tree(s) on your behalf. By contributing to tree-planting through Trees for Life, you will:

• help offset the negative effects of your organisation’s carbon emissions

• help restore a beautiful natural habitat – the Caledonian Forest

• demonstrate your environmental commitment to customers, staff and stakeholders
